Tess Dunn

It's That Time...

The studio is treating me well, lovelies. Lots of ideas are flowing. Lots of music is being created.

I'm excited to give you the follow-up to Polarity. I promise it'll be just as amazing.

Follow me over to iamt3tra.com and my various social media channels to keep up to date.

Hey guys!

I'm super excited to announce that the Slum It music video for my side project, T3TRA, will be coming out this Friday, April 21st. You can find the debut on my website or on YouTube at 1 pm PST.

If you haven't seen Oxy, check it out below.

See you the 21st.

Happy Valentine's Day <3

In honor of Valentine's Day, head to my Soundcloud for a new song. It's only up for three days, so catch it now!

I wrote it about that moment when you've realized you've made a mistake, and all you can do is apologize to the person you hurt and hope they'll give you a chance to make things right.

Here is "Come Back." I hope you like it.

Love you, babes.

Hi Darlings!

A quick update:

I went to NAMM this weekend and had the weekend of my life again.

Happy New Year!

Bonjour my loves, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2016 was a very rough year, with sadness, death, and misfortune. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of good - but I know for a fact that many people are happy to brush off 2016 and try for a better 2017.

I'm very excited to keep going as T3TRA. I cannot express how overjoyed I am that I have finally found a niche that I belong in. I am still insanely proud of Polarity. The only thing I need to do now is film more music videos, perform around the country, and talk more to you. Because YOU are the reason I am able to do this.

Thank you for your constant support. I know 2017 will be my best year yet with you by my side.

I'm sending so much love to those around me. You deserve the best.

Tess Dunn is T3TRA!

If you are in the area, come to my show! Hear all my new T3TRA tracks and support Cystic Fibrosis Research Inc. For those of you out of town, stay tuned; I am working on live streaming my set.

A Quick Post

Hi lovelies.

After this unfortunate election, I know many are scared for their health, their finances, their lives

I just want to let you know that I am here for you, always.

Never hesitate to send me an email, Facebook message, or DM. I promise to respond. I want to be a safe space for you.

This is NOT who we are as a country. I promise. And we will fight the good fight until the end.

I love you so much. Please, hang in there. We can't do this without each other.

Come visit me at Streetlight San Jose on Saturday, November 5th at 4:00 PM. T3TRA is taking over! Come hear songs from my new EP, Polarity. Dancing is allowed and encouraged!

Recording, Music Video, and NAMM, Oh My!

Hello everyone! It's been awhile, but I come bearing quite a bit of news!

Firstly: I will be recording my fourth EP over the next two weeks in LA with Noah Shain! Noah also engineered and produced Honesty Box, and I'm looking forward to working with him again on what will be, without a doubt, my best album yet.

Secondly: I'm officially turning 21 on December 14th! For me, 21 is less about the alcohol (I'm not a huge fan of my throat closing up - damn you, allergies!) and more about entering and playing at venues that I previously couldn't enter! And as a gift to you all, I'll be releasing my new single, "6 AM," for free! Check my Facebook and twitter for the link to the download - it'll be out this month. I'm also releasing a music video for it in January!

Check out a still from the music video shoot:

Thirdly: I will be performing at NAMM next month! I've gone to NAMM every year since 2012, so you can imagine how excited I am to be playing as an endorsed artist for Lanikai Ukuleles. (Shout out to Gizzy: I'm looking forward to our reunion!)

Fourth(ly?): I went on tour last summer with Austin Corona, and he was kind enough to cover "Don't Let It Burn" with me, a song he wrote when he was only 12! Check it out here. Thanks to Joel and Matt Bergsma for capturing the magic.

Things are crazy, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't wait to share everything I've been doing with you. Thank you for everything you do to support me - I lovelovelove you.

The Daydreamers EP Is HERE! + Warped Blog Post

The Daydreamers EP is finally available to download. After months of getting everything ready - shirts, totes, album artwork, recording, mixing - the result of my sweat, blood, and tears is HERE.

It would mean the world to me if you would download it, rate it, and leave a review. Physical copies are available on CD Baby! Or get it on iTunes! And if you're not an iTunes person, it's also available on Amazon :]

I couldn't have recorded this album without you, and you deserve to have it. So go get it. Spread your wings and fly. Be free, my children.

But seriously - thank you. Thank you thank you thank you.

Now, as many of you know by my numerous tweets, WARPED TOUR IS HERE. It's the best day of my life every year, and this year, I'm taking as many opportunities as I can, including partnering up with groups including The Canvas Foundation and My Life Vs Your Vacation. Keep up with what I'm doing through Facebook and Twitter, and check out my latest blog post HERE! (It has fun pictures oooo)

Now go grab Daydreamers and like me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter and love me pleeeeease?

"Daydreamers' - Single Stream!

Awesome news everybody: the single off of my new EP, "Daydreamers," will be streaming June 7th! That's in less than a week!

I'm really excited to share this with you. I worked really hard on this album, and this single is a pretty great opening to the chapter that is DaydreamersI hope you'll agree with me.

The full album will begin streaming June 14th, and the album will be available to purchase digitally on CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon June 21st (yep, that's the same day as my first Warped Tour date in Mountain View!). I hope you'll check it out!

I have a lot of shows coming up this month (because it's June - whaaaaat? Since when?), and I hope to see your face at at least one of them.

I'm keeping busy... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Get ready, Darlings. Get ready.

101% Indiegogo Success!

It's official - my Indiegogo campaign has closed, and I hit 101% of goal! Thanks to the 100 pledgers who lifted me up and came along for the ride as I recorded my third EP, Daydreamers. I am getting the artwork together and in a matter of weeks, it will be done! I am so proud of these four new songs, and can't wait for the world to hear them.

I'll be sitting here in Portland loving you...

You may have heard that I'm in Portland recording my third EP, "Daydreamers," this week. If so, you have heard correctly.

I'm currently writing this blog post from the guest room of my friends' house (shout-out to Robin and Jim!) after a long day in the studio, listening to Josh Damigo's song "Portland" (which is where the title of this lovely post comes from), and finally relaxing.

Sean Flora, the engineer, is absolutely incredible. He's extremely talented, funny, and kind. Actually, you may know of him: he's worked with acts such as The Shins and The Black Keys. And Ari Shine, who I've known for six years, is killing it, playing every instrument (except for keyboards - that's my job!), producing the entire thing, and being his usual, rad self. I'm having so much fun. I've missed this feeling.

(Ari's on the left, Sean's on the right)

We began working on the title track, and it sounds AWESOME. It's a total anthem for all daydreamers out there. It makes me happy just thinking about it. I just can't wait for you all to hear it!

Segue: YOU can be a part of the recording process if you'd like! I'm posting a few photos from the day below, but if you want to get all updates, videos, and pictures that nobody else will see, feel free to contribute to my Indiegogo campaign! In exchange for your contribution, you can receive fun perks, like riding the Giant Dipper with me, or chatting via Skype, or simply receiving a shirt and signed copy of the new EP. I'd love to have you along for the ride :]

Okay, I'm segueing out of this and to my treatment. I have another long day ahead of me - we're doing the music for Stay (which, based on what Ari and I have talked about, is going to be AMAZING) and recording the vocals for Daydreamers. I'm going to need more than 7 hours of sleep for once if I want to stay alive...

Love to you all, Darlings. I hope you join me on this adventure!

(Recording in Portland is hard work sometimes.)

Fall News!

Hello My Darlings,

This will be short & sweet :]

Back to the Studio: It has been a busy fall. I've been focusing on songwriting, in anticipation of recording my next EP with the amazing Ari Shine and Sean Flora in Portland at the legendary Jackpot! Recording Studios. I'm stoked to get back in the studio and record what, I swear on the left side of my body, is my best music yet. I've been tweaking the songs with Ari to perfect them, and I'm REALLY excited to be helping create the songs from the ground up. And, of course, my hope is that this EP is my breakthrough :] I'll keep you posted!

Shows: A Benefit for Cystic Fibrosis Research Inc. & Organ Donation Awareness. Sunday, December 8th, 7:00 PM, Moe's Alley (Santa Cruz). This is going to be an amazing evening! An all-ages concert and party - all for a great cause. The lovely Urban Theory opens for me, and then I'll be rocking with my full band (and sharing some of those new songs I mentioned above). We'll also have a taco truck, raffle, silent auction, proclamations, and birthday cake. (Yes, the birthday cake is for me, as I turn 19 next month!) Most importantly, we will raise awareness of the critical need for people to register as organ donors. A person is added to the list every 10 minutes (from babies to grandparents), and unfortunately, many people do not survive the wait. If you haven't registered as a donor, you can do so at the show. I've got the donor dot on my license - what about you? Tickets: http://www.moesalley.com

Favor: Without you, it will be very, very hard to achieve my goals. Please, share my links with people, like me on Facebook, watch my Youtube videos and follow me on Twitter. Feeling creative? Write a review of my EP for CD Baby. Five minutes of your time will make a difference for me, and I'd be grateful. All the links are below.

I will have more announcements in the very near future. Until then, thanks for your support!

Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy...

But here's a blog post/update, so read it and then vote for me maybe?

Well well well. It's been awhile, hasn't it?

First things first: I missed you all. Along with college starting, I needed a PICC line for a few weeks. And now I'm sick again. Go figure. However, this is just a cold, so I'll hopefully get over it soon!

But I'm not writing to you with excuses, no, I'm writing you with a much bigger thing in mind... like the Warped Survey! (Cue mysterious music)

Backspace Portland Show!

I am delighted to be opening for the wildly popular Portland-based duo Dresses, at Backspace - a very cool venue! I will be joined by two of my bandmates, and we promise to rock you. Please come listen, clap, sing along, and say hello afterward. Portland music fans, I want to meet you!

Music Millennium in Portland!

Please join me at Music Millennium for a free in-store show! This will be my first performance ever in Portland! Music Millennium, whose slogan is "A place where the music and people still matter," is a gift to the independent, unsigned musician. I will be joined by two of my bandmates, and look forward to making new friends. I will be performing at Backspace in Portland the next night, so this will give people a musical sample. Please come by and say hello!

Santa Cruz Music Festival Fast Approaching!

I am delighted to be a part of the inaugural Santa Cruz Music Festival (SCMF) on Saturday, July 20th! For a full day and night, seven music venues downtown will be hosting a steady stream of bands - over 85 hours of music! I will be performing at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center at 10:00 PM. Come down, listen to some new music, and end your evening with me and my rockin' band! Get tickets at http://www.ticketfly.com.

Streetlight Records Show!

I love playing at Streetlight Records! This store is a true friend to independent artists, and I am honored that they sell my CDs!

This show will be a blast: My band and I are doing a run through of our set list in anticipation of our performance at the Vans Warped Tour show at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View on June 22nd.

Come say hi! I'll have a free drawing for those of you who come. It will be a party!

Hey guys!

I have some VERY exciting news to share with you: I've been featured on two sites within ONE month!

In March, I was featured on Stage Right Secrets as their first "Artist to Watch!" You can find the link here. They've also posted things about me before, such as my Fire music video, my Ms. Brightside cover, and my duet written with Keith Williams, "Maybe." I'm honored to be their Artist to Watch, and if you haven't checked them out, I highly suggest doing so!

And this month, Ultimate Ears, the company that made my in-ears, is featuring ME on their website. This is a huge deal, so check it out and share it with those you know! They also have made in-ears for Justin Timberlake, Aerosmith, and blink-182, to name a few. I'm featured here, but you can check out their website here.

Exciting things are happening, and I couldn't be doing this without all of you. Thank you for your everlasting support.

Hey Everyone! Mark your calendars for Friday, April 5th! I am thrilled to return to my lovely hometown and perform on the beach stage during Comcast Spring Break. After riding the Giant Dipper, come pull up a beach chair in the sand and listen to my band and me as we rock it! A Santa Cruz Beach party - what's not to love?

Santa Cruzans unite to Grind Out Hunger! I am thrilled to open for Cruz Matik at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz on Sunday, March 10th. This will be a fun show, and BE READY TO DANCE!!!

Cruzmatik, featuring DJ Tone Sol, is putting this show on, and I am honored to be invited to support the cause. I'll be playing with my full band, and I am having a lot of fun putting a dance spin on some of my songs!

I am thrilled to open for Wooster on Saturday, March 2nd, at the Crepe Place in Santa Cruz. This will be an acoustic show. I saw Wooster perform to 350 very happy fans last month, and they are a lot of fun! Wooster has a great blend of rock, reggae, Latin, soul, California surf rock, and you will not be disappointed. This show will help get them to SXSW! Don't miss this show!

I am so thrilled to be opening for my friend and mentor, Nina Storey, on January 12th, 2013 at the legendary Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz. I was first inspired by Nina when I saw her perform at the Santa Cruz Blues Festival. I was only 5 or 6 at the time! This will be an incredible show. Nina is releasing her latest album, and will be rockin' the house with her full band. I will open up with my full band, and look forward to a duet or two with Nina.
[Please note, this is a 21 and older show. Sorry, kidlings.]

Please come see me DECEMBER 8th at Streetlight Records in Santa Cruz! I love Streetlight. They are incredibly supportive of unsigned independent artists - myself included - and I am honored that they carry my CDs in both the Santa Cruz and San Jose stores. This will be a rocking acoustic show with my incredible band. Please come say hi. I will have a free drawing for some of my CDs and shirts for those of you who show up :) And think about all the people you can buy gifts for while shopping in Streetlight! It's a win-win proposition.

Hope to see you there!

Please come say hi, and support Jacob's Heart.

Busy Happy Holidays!

Hey guys,

It has been a crazy month! Thanks to all of you who voted for my Shame To See Video in the NOW 99.7FM local video contest! With 29,500 votes, Shame To See won, and was shown in front of 14,000 people at HP Pavilion at the holiday show featuring LMFAO, Taio Cruz, Pitbull, Selena Gomez, Flo Rida, and Gym Class Heroes. It was an amazing night! Thanks again to Team Tess at Expression College for the Digital Arts. The video looked so rad on the jumbotrons!

The weekend following the show, I had a birthday bash at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, with a performance by yours truly and my band. Joining the party was a film crew from Vans Off The Wall TV, who came up from LA to interview me for their "Pass The Bucket" series. Here is what the Vans website says about this series: "A look into the humanitarian side of today's most celebrated action sport athletes, musicians, artists and foundations. A raw and transparent conversation of today's shocking realities and potential solutions." I am very honored to be a part of this project (http://offthewall.tv/show/Pass-The-Bucket).

I will post more this week to talk about my upcoming album release concert in February. Stay posted, please!

I need your help! 16,500 votes and counting!

Hey everyone,

99.7 FM is hosting a music video competition and I am honored to be included!

The winner has their video shown before a huge holiday concert at HP Pavillion. Performers that night include Selena Gomez, LMFAO, Gym Class Heroes, Taio Cruz, Pitbull, and Breathe Carolina.

PLEASE, will you go to their website and vote for my video?

Here is the direct link to the voting page:

Unbelievably, you can vote as many times as you want!!! If you vote enough to get the "cooling off" message, you can wait a couple of hours and start again.

This is a great opportunity, and I am very grateful to you for voting.

PLEASE share with everyone you know. This will only work if we get the whole viral thing going :]

Warped Tour '11 A Success!

G'day, mates.

Warped Tour '11 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre was a SUCCESS. Tons of people came out, and I made plenty of new friends there. I rocked the keytar and the keyboard, and my band (Will Kahn - bass, Ty Wallace - drums, and Rory Freeman - guitar) was incredible. It was amazing, and I'd never felt like I rocked it as much as I did this time. My neck is super sore from all the headbanging. Being a rocker can be tough….

I also saw plenty of bands, such as Simple Plan, New Years Day, and Hellogoodbye, which I enjoyed a lot!

And, lucky me, White Menace, from Live 105, an alternative/rock station in the SF Bay Area, took plenty of pictures! You can view them here: http://live105.radio.com/2011/07/03/photos-tess-dunn-at-warped-tour/

On the last photo, click on the upper right hand corner of it - there are 22 photos in all! Some of my favorites are at the bottom.

Happy Independence Day Weekend, and thank you to all of you who have supported me, and to the new friends I've made. Warped Tour has never been so much fun.

You guys rock my socks.

ps. If you haven't done so yet, check out my latest single, Shame to See. Then let me know what you think! I want your opinions.

My life revolves around Shame to See.

Hey everyone!

Warped Tour is coming up in 4 days - so soon! I've been practicing with a full band, and am very excited to debut my new song, Shame to See, for the first time live!  I'm hoping you'll be there to see it, if you're available and in the area. Buy your tickets here for the Mountain View date and come see a bunch of fantastic musicians/bands play.

Also, leave me a note telling me what you think about Shame to See [out at 9pm PST, if it's still not up yet] - I want your opinions! A music video will be out in August, so be prepared for that - it's going to look amazing. But I'll keep you updated on that as well :]

I'm terrible at updating - hopefully you can forgive me and enjoy the sparse news I do put out? [Or check out my facebook, because I update that every day]

Thankyou for all the support. It means the world to me.
